Notify by mail or text on activation of application

Hi,

Wondering if it would be possible to have some sort of option that you can enable/disable, so that when you run the application, it automatically notifies someone that you are up and running.

I travel a lot and use the application for my wife to see where I am. Rather than her constantly watching the screen to see when I am departing a location, it would be great for me to run the application and at the same time notifies her that I am on the move.

Fantastic app, love it, and I have tried dozens of similar apps.....none of them compare to this.

As there have been already several requests like this I plan to extend the "sharing" functionality. You can already now send an email to your friends. I will add an auto-send option.

Where do I find the setting to enable the automatic notification? I use this app on just about every trip I make and this would certainly make it simple.

To receive automatic notifications you need to purchase the geo-fence privilege first. Afterwards please login to the web portal with your username, and click "Geo-fence". You can select your areas on the map, and you can specify, if you want to receive notifications when the tracked user enters the specified area, or when the users leaves the specified area (or both).
Moreover you can choose if you want to get notified via email, or via message sent to the tracker. These notifications are free. If you wish, the service can also send a SMS to any mobile phone number you specified. Please note that sending SMS is not free.
