export/import tracks and feature suggestion

Post by psgaynor »

Hello. I just started testing this and it looks really good so far. Thank you!

1) Question: Is there a way to export/import tracks to save them for future reference?

2) Feature suggestion: Add a widget to the track profile panel so that users can select portions of the track (with some kind of slider to select the start and end times for each portion). Would be good to be able to divide the track into as many portions as necessary. The user would then select or unselect each portion to display or hide it. Also could have an option to export a portion.

Thanks again.

Hi Peter,

There is no way to import tracks because your tracks are automatically saved on the server. Exporting tracks is possible but you need the track loading feature which is a non-free feature (you can test 24 hours for free). Seems like this feature does what you want. With track loading you can specify the exact time range of the track you want to see. You can view the profile of this track. And you can download (=export) this track and view it for example in Google Earth (version 6 or higher required).
