Default to satellite view
Hey,
Any way using the guest or map link to force it to default to satellite view?
Thanks!

Hi,
at the moment this is not supported. But I think I can add this feature. I will keep you updated.

Re: Default to satellite view
I would suspect if you can pass along this parameter: &maptype=hybrid
roadmap tiles by default.
satellite specifies a satellite image.
terrain specifies a physical relief map image, showing terrain and vegetation.
hybrid specifies a hybrid of the satellite and roadmap image, showing a transparent layer of major streets and place names on the satellite image.

Re: Default to satellite view
Thanks, works great.
Any way to add the "&zoom=" parameter also? There is a "Zoom Levels" at the same link I posted above for parameter usage.
And I just realized this topic should be in the feature request section, sorry!

Hi,
That's no problem, maybe I will move the thread to the other section. Zoom is supported too now.

Re: Default to satellite view
How can I set this setting as well do I need "full version" ?
I am more interested in setting the "Guest" to Satellite view by default. Is this feature available?

Re: Default to satellite view
You can control the default behaviour already now. Just append "&maptype=satellite" to your guest URL which you are sending to your friends. If they click this link they will see the satellite map.

Re: Default to satellite view
Hi. I did this on my Galaxy S3 and for some reason a space gets inserted between the guest password and the &maptype=hybrid. This happens before the message is sent. I don't the space in the url until the next time I go to "Send my URL". Any Ideas why?admin wrote:You can control the default behaviour already now. Thanks,
