Hi,
A few months ago a user reported that he could track his balloon until 60000 feet. Above it did not work because his phone's GPS was limited to this alitutde. I don't know how your phone will behave but I guess it will be similar.

hi there,
You can only track to 60,000 feet with a normal standard GPS chip that is found in the phone.
There is a way around this though... disable the on board GPS in settings and use a bluetooth GPS unit that is more capable.
This one does over 60,000 feet:
RoyalTek RBT 2300 Bluetooth GPS Data Logger it's around $39USD

Re: High Altitude Balloon Tracking
Firstly, I just want to say this tracker has proven very very accurate.
My only problem is this.........
I can not clear my friends tracks at the end off the day, therefore I end up with overlapping tracks from different days, which makes viewing their next days track difficult.

Hi,
you can delete your track points in the web portal. Maybe a faster way to solve your problem is to use the automatic track length limit. Help video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuINsdW0xS0
